There is, apparently, an old saw that says you must walk before you can run. Though it does not specifically say anything about 10K's
That's what I should have done before the Irish Sprint 10K. Let's just say that my body was in revolt for a few days.
Having learned my lesson the hard way, for the rest of the month of March (now that I can go out without having to prophylactically ingest various medications to keep rebellions by various body systems in check) and the first week of April, I will not run. I'll walk.
After that, I'll do the run-walk thing, with the immediate goal to run for the Semper Fred 5K in May.
